Pan Fried Egg

Hello everyone! I learned this recipe from my mother. I love it. It’s a great breakfast choice because there’s a variety of things you can add. I like to have it on weekends, when it’s a chill sort of day. I love waking up to the smell of pan fried egg on the stove and crispy bread ready to serve it with. Hope you enjoy!!

Pan Fried egg recipe:

Ingredients:

5 whole eggs

one half of an onion, chopped

one half of a red pepper, chopped

a small handful of baby spinach

1 tbs. onion powder

1 tsp. garlic powder

2 tsps. ground black pepper

a pinch of salt

2 tbs. oil (I used canola but you can use whatever you have)

1 tsp. cayenne pepper (if you like a little spice)

Directions:

In a medium sized bowl, combine your eggs, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne (if using). Beat until well combined.

In a large pan, add your oil. Then add your chopped up onions and red pepper. Cook on medium high heat until the onions have caramelized. Add your baby spinach and cook this until the spinach wilts, being sure to stir now and then so your veggies don’t burn.

Once they’ve had a chance to cook, add your beaten eggs to the skillet with the vegetables, making sure that all the egg are covering the vegetables.

Turn the fire up to high heat and cook for about ten minutes, lid on, until the egg is cooked.

Cool, serve, and enjoy between sandwiched bread 🍞!!πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹
